help you purchase a fsbo home are the same as those for purchasing a listed resale home or a new home for sale by a builder…knowledge of the market, help in finding the perfect home quickly, expertise in contract writing/negotiation, and closing assistance.
Many owners decide to try to sell their homes after inviting real estate agents to look at the home and propose a list price and a marketing plan. It is a trait of human nature that most people like their homes and consider them to be worth a lot. Frequently, this “lot” is more than an experienced agent believes to be true. In some of those cases, the owner will try to sell the home on their own at a higher price.
In other cases, owners believe the job of marketing, advertising, showing, negotiating, and closing the sale of the house is so easy, they decide to sell on their own and save the cost of a Realtor’s fee. Unfortunately, their asking price often does not reflect the absence of a Realtor’s commission so the savings is not passed on to you, the Buyer.
